The law requires public buildings, large buildings, high-rise buildings, residential buildings, condominiums and apartments to have a fire alarm system installed.

It reduces loss of life and damage to the valuable property inside the building

1. Smoke is picked up by a smoke detector or a heat detector
2. The signal goes to the fire alarm control panel
3. The panel signals the alarm devices, which warn by sound, by light, or by both (alarm bell, horn, speaker, strobe)
