The lightning warning system is designed to monitor weather conditions by checking the electric field strength around the area within a 15 kilometre radius. When the field strength rises to the set point, it raises an alert at the control panel and at the same time sounds a siren so that anyone out in the open is warned. There are two levels of alert.
When the electric field within 10–15 kilometres rises to 4 kV/m, electrical charge can move into the area within 20–30 minutes. The alert sounds a buzzer at the control panel.
When the electric field within 8–10 kilometres rises to 7 kV/m, electrical charge can move into the area within 10–15 minutes. The alert sounds the siren mounted outside the building, so that anyone out in the open has time to reach shelter.
Once the weather returns to normal, the system signals that as well.

It checks the electric field strength around the site within a 15 kilometre radius. When the field strength rises to the configured point, it raises an alert on the control panel and sounds a siren to warn anyone out in the open.
Two. The first is the Warning Alert, raised when the electric field within 10-15 kilometres rises to 4 kV/m, the level at which electrical charge can move into the area.
They should use the time after the warning to move out of the open and into a safe place, before the charge comes close enough to create a real risk of a strike.
